Dionysios Ampelas - Owner

Born in 1980 and studied exact science in the Mathematics Department of UOA. Then in 2010, my path led me into the maritime industry, and acted as a cargo surveyor ( fuel oils, crude oil, chemicals, dry cargos, bunkers, etc ) for the next 4 years for a large international surveying/ fuel testing organization, before progressively focusing on bunkering and achieving huge field expertise by attending bunker operations in ports around the world, working for a Swiss private company and constantly traveling since 2013. WAVES is an idea born during these travels and evolving to materialize to an organization combining mood for work and experience.

My wife Jevsi and our two magical creatures, Aria and Paris, are together my greatest accomplishment and solid support, to enable me to do what I love.

Family- home is currently based in Athens, GR which is the perfect place to return to, after all the demanding, sometimes exterminating aspects of our line of work. As you all know and experience the Shipping industry seems to be unaware of time, distance, rest, etc. However, strangely, this also becomes the motive to deliver the best results, regardless of the circumstances and at the end of the day, a good day is a day that the job is properly done.

In WAVES and all the people involved, this thought is what keeps us going.!
